Who and When
Music has been the focus of my life for twenty years now. In this section you’ll find material spanning almost that entire period – the oldest pieces were written when I was a teenager. The solo section contains instrumental guitar pieces in various styles, showing influences from Danny Gatton to Jeff Beck to Eddie Van Halen to Joe Satriani to, in the most recent, Leo Kottke, Adrian Legg and Mike Hedges.
Then there’s Nina Armstrong, my primary reason for owning a guitar these days. Nina writes beautiful songs that exhibit the greatest quality for any writer in any medium – honesty. Nina is one of my closest friends, and her courage has inspired me in my writing endeavours. We play around Ireland on a reasonably regular basis. I’ll post upcoming gigs in the news section of this site as and when they arise. Watch out, though. She might rekke you.
And I’ve added a bonus section with a few tracks from other projects, including Arc/Weld, a short lived but fruitful collaboration with a fantastic vocalist called Chris Pattison. Plus, something from Theo Sinton, a fine gentleman farmer who has recently discovered the blues. I’ll post more items here as and when I can.
Enjoy.
